Food Love - Crock Pot Cream Cheese Chicken

I LOVE my slow cooker / crock pot and this is a super-easy dish for a night when you have a little extra time. Chicken is savory and so yummy all by itself as the sauce and delish! Shown in the picture with regular noodles, I prefer egg noodles.

Ingredients
3 lbs chicken pieces
1 (2/3 ounce) package Italian salad dressing mix
4 tablespoons melted butter (divided)
1 small onion, chopped
1 garlic clove, chopped
1 (10 1/2 ounce) can cream of chicken soup
8 ounces cream cheese
1⁄2 cup chicken broth

Preparation
Place chicken pieces in crock pot and sprinkle Italian seasoning over chicken. Sprinkle with 2 tablespoons melted butter.
Cook on low for 4-6 hours.
Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a saucepan and sauté onion and garlic. Add Cream of Chicken Soup, cream cheese, and chicken broth. Stir until smooth.
Add this mixture to crock pot and cook on low for an additional hour.

I served this with some wide egg noodles and broccoli! Yummy!

Haunting or Hoax? The Movie Return to Babylon

In my upcoming release 'Finders' demonologist, Luke Melloy and Professional Ghost Hunter Grant Henley capture what looks like a demon morphing out of a patient on video during an interview for their show Ghost Hunting show, "Finders".

Finders Sneak Peak ~
Luke and Grant went back to the observation room. The recording of the session was still in the camera. Grant pulled out the SD Card and inserted it into the computer bringing up the file. They watched and then fast-forwarded to the end of the session, "there, stop there right as I'm shaking her hand. I remember hearing the door open and you introduced Claire. I stepped out of the way and –there, pause it."

Grant paused the video and they both stared at the screen, the woman’s face had completely morphed into something unrecognizable, "Jesus, what the hell is that?"

"That’s a demon."

"Vera isn’t delusional, she’s possessed," Grant said, ejecting the SD Card to take with them. "So why the extreme reaction to Claire?"

"That is the real question, isn’t it? Why stay hidden this long only to expose yourself the instant a complete stranger walks into the room?"

In the 2013 movie Return to Babylon, the silent film by Alex Monty Canawati is said to have real paranormal phenomena occurring right before your eyes. The ghosts of dead actors or demons can be seen morphing in the film! The phenomenon is gaining interest among paranormal researchers as well as cinema experts for its spontaneous morphing of the actors into hideous monstrosities.

Check out Weekend in Weird and Paranormalistics for more details and pics!

The creepy images that appear in the film have yet to be definitely debunked so we could be looking at documented paranormal phenomenon. If you've heard of or seen the film, let me know what you thought!

Haunted or Hoax?

Look for Finders in 2017!

Free Short Read - The Cabin (Part 1)

When Chele Masters retreats to a remote cabin to escape her controlling ex-boyfriend and stress filled life she has no idea what’s waiting for her in the darkness.

Candlelight, soft music, warm water and endless bubbles. Could there be anything more heavenly than a relaxing bubble bath? Chele Masters found she could think of nothing else. Making it even better, there was no chance of interruption. No signal on the phone, no internet, and no one of consequence in miles. Heaven.

I could soak in here all night if I wanted and no one would care.

Chele shifted, the thought laying hard in the bottom of her stomach. Just remember what Jen said…rest relax and let the stress of the past year melt away. By the time I get there, you should be a pile of clay and ready to be remolded and pampered at the spa.

Chele’s cheeks reddened, not feeling deserving of Jen’s attention. Her best friend of eleven years arranged the whole affair, whisking her away, despite objection, to her family’s remote mountain cabin outside of Breckenridge, Colorado. There she would remain for the weekend. Jen planned to join her on Monday for the second part of their excursion, a super secret spa resort Jen’s family went to annually.

All because you are an idiot. Stop it and just relax. It’s over. No more being afraid, no more worrying, no more stress…

Chele inhaled the deep warm air into her lungs and closed her eyes.
A creak made her open her eyes, a thump made her sit up, her heart pounding. The towel was in reach. Chele moved and so did the door knob. It opened, she screamed, and grabbed the towel.

“Jesus!”

She wrapped the towel around her body. All she could see was a shadow in the doorway. “Get out!”

 “I…uh…”

“Get out!” The door closed with a thud. Tugging on her bathrobe, Chele shook uncontrolled, pushing herself in the corner of the room. Who was he? How did he get in?

“Hello?” the muffled voice pierced the door of the bathroom.

What the hell was he still doing here! Why wouldn’t he just leave her alone! “Go away!”

“I would, but I kind of need to know who you are?”

“None of your business!”

What the hell? Who is this guy, the cabin police?

“I’m sorry I scared you. I didn’t know there was anyone here.”

“Do you make a habit of entering other people’s houses?” She inched her way to the door, his voice sounding honest and soothing. If he wanted to attack her, he could have, it wasn’t like the bathroom was locked.

“Well…I actually do. I’m the Federal Ranger and I check in on the cabins to make sure there are no squatters.”

Chele thought about it, insulted. “I am not a squatter!”

“Prove it.” The challenge didn’t seem forceful, more matter of fact. If he was in fact a Federal Ranger she wasn’t in any harm, but still trapped in the bathroom.

“I’m a friend of Jen Langston, this is her families cabin. I’m staying here for the weekend.” She waited for a response, footsteps backed away from the door. “I can give you her number to confirm, if you have a phone to call out on.” Silence. “Are you there?”

“I know Jenny, I can call her myself.” His voice gruff and affected, the calm and soothing tone having disappeared. “I’m leaving now. I’ll be back tomorrow.”

She listened to his footsteps walk down the hall. The front door opened and then closed.  Chele breathed a sigh of relief but her stomach knotted. Just breathe… Her eyes were unbearably heavy and she wanted desperately to just sleep. Extinguishing the candles and draining the tub, Chele exited the bathroom, a cool draft curling around her ankles.

She padded down the hall, peering cautiously into the living room and kitchen. Empty, thank God. Locking the door and shutting off the lights, Chele scurried to the bedroom closing the door behind her. Flopping onto the bed she didn’t even bother to change out of her robe. The blankets were soft and fit snugly around her weary body. She didn’t expect to be this tired, especially with her relaxing space being invaded by a complete stranger.  The event seemed to break the camel’s back. Her mind folded into itself and shut off.

Tune in next Friday for the next part! ~

Love it or hate it, let me know!

Television A- Z - Awesome A's Part Two!

So this is my version of the A to Z Challenge. I am listing the shows having the biggest impact on me, not necessarily the best shows in each category. I thought they were the best when I was watching them.

See the whole list of A's Here!

Airwolf (1984-1986)
As part of a deal with an intelligence agency to look for his missing brother, a renegade pilot goes on missions with an advanced battle helicopter.

I never knew about this show until a friend of mine made me start watching it, I was 11 at the time, and Stringfellow Hawke was a sad, sexy character who needed my love! In line with its time, like the A-Team very little actual violence, more blowing things up after everyone get out of the helicopter /tank/truck, etc. All in the name of good clean fun. In 1987 the network did a series reboot with a whole new cast, including the son of comedy legend Dick Van Dyke, Barry Van Dyke – looks so much like his Dad. Also included Geraint Wyn Davies who went on to be known for his B-List off cable show Forever Knight. Michelle Scarabelli was also part of the new team, who would later go on to play an alien on the short-lived hit Sci-Fi drama Alien Nation (forgot about that one too didn’t ya?)

Angel (1999-2004)
The vampire Angel, cursed with a soul, moves to Los Angeles and aids people with supernatural-related problems while questing for his own redemption.

Stars: David Boreanaz, ,

A spin-off of the widely popular fan favorite Buffy the Vampire Slayer Series, Angel launched the career of David Boreanaz. Before Boreanaz solved murders with Temperance Brennan on Bones, he was Angel, the Vamp with a heart of gold. Along with the Character of Angel to launch this series they brought along the characters of Cordelia Chase, played by Charisma Carpenter and Wesley, played by Alexis Denisof. All of the actors have gone one to successful television careers,  Amy Acker also did a two-season stint on Angel. Acker has landed major roles everywhere, from Person of Interest to Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Arrow (2012-Present)

Spoiled billionaire playboy Oliver Queen is missing and presumed dead when his yacht is lost at sea. He returns five years later a changed man, determined to clean up the city as a hooded vigilante armed with a bow.

Stars: Stephen Amell, ,

I admit I first started watching Arrow because of the premise of the show and Stephen Amell is easy on the eyes. Then it grew on me. Then they introduced Felicity Smoke, and I was hooked. Love the smart sexiness of the character and the blossoming vibes between Felicity and Oliver. I boycotted the show for a while when they broke up and now looks like they are getting back together so On-Demand here I come! I will add a small note about how STUPID DC Comics is being by NOT using the already fabulous cast they have for all of their shows for the movies. Dumb move in my opinion, but who am I to know what is or isn’t going to work? All I do know is I will not be watching the Justice League because of the recasting of the Flash. (stepping off soapbox now)

Thoughts on the list, let me know! I love em all!
